NaNoWriMo 2017 Haiku 575 - Day Sixteen
Another good haiku day. We went to a great exhibition about Pompeii at the Fukuoka City Museum, as well as the general exhibition, and enjoyed lunch by the beach. Last weeks in Japan now... NaPoWriMo 2017 Haiku 575 - Day Fifteen
It's the weekend, but no rest for the wicked! I've been busy submitting picture book manuscripts to publishers, and doing a bit of marketing for my bilingual picture book which was published this week. A bit of time for some haiku :) We took a seaside cycle this morning in the sun - good call as it is windy and rainy now. 81. fragrant salty breeze caressing my beach-side face parasols twirlin' 82. sweetness in the air petals dust my clean laundry gravel in my shoes 83. decept

NaPoWriMo 2017 Haiku 575 - Day Thirteen
Now settled in at my final stop in Japan - Fukuoka. Two weeks left of our time in Japan - 2.5 years in total. We have two short stays in Fukuoka city before we leave, but most of our time will be at this beautiful seaside location, doing some outdoor work, and hopefully chilling out a bit before our next mad adventure - a whirlwind trip through China. Anyway, four haiku today - 2 on the bus (4.5 hours) from Hiroshima to Fukuoka, and two on the beach this afternoon. We have a

NaPoWriMo 2017 Haiku 575 - Day Twelve
Spent today on Miyajima island (Hiroshima) and didn't have much time for haiku. We spent a large part of the day hiking up a mountain (hence the hiking haiku) so not much writing time today. Never mind - 5 hours on a bus tomorrow so plenty of time for writing! 62. hikers coming down pungent odour lets me know a tough climb ahead #haiku #poetry #NaPoWriMo #NaPoWriMo2017haiku575
